Pambula Lake

Rock oysters have been grown in the unspoilt & pure waters of Pambula Lake for thousands of years.

The lake holds one of only a handful of "direct harvest" permits in the state.

Extensive water quality monitoring & shellfish testing (SQAP) allow us to closely monitor the environment and harvest directly from the lake without the need for purifying.

The results reflect the quality of the nutrient-rich waters of Pambula Lake and give our customers the highest quality oyster just as nature intended.

Availability

Hazelgrove Oysters are available from late January through to September.

As we only sell oysters in top condition, harvest times may vary if we experience lake closures due to rainfall.

If you require oysters out of season, we advise contacting us well in advance so we can put them aside for you.

Perfect for a special occasion, wedding or function, Hazelgrove Oysters have a minimum order of 20 dozen unopened oysters.

Storage

Rock oysters have the best shelf life of any oyster  and can be kept for up to 2 weeks unopened if stored correctly.

Keep moist and between 6 and 15 degrees celsius and out of direct sunlight.
